Established in 1952, HorseWorld Trust is a registered charity based in Whitchurch, near Bristol, committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing horses, ponies and donkeys in need. Our Welfare department provides a home to all our new arrivals, including sick, neglected and traumatised horses and ponies. We have a team of trained staff committed to their care and rehabilitation and eventual re-homing. HorseWorld also runs a ground-breaking educational programme called Discovery which supports emotional growth and learning in young people through hands-on experience with our rescued horses, ponies and donkeys.
About The Role
Workplace: Based at Keynes Farm, Whitchurch
Hours: 35 hours per week, normally 9am-4.30pm Monday to Friday. You will receive a 30 minute (unpaid) lunch break.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays to assist with activities and events as required. Time in lieu will be given for any additional hours worked.
Pay: £10 per hour gross pay
What you will be doing
Providing administrative support to the Fundraising Team, to include:
- Provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for the Fundraising Team.
- Respond to enquiries and expressions of interest over the telephone, in person, via email or by letter.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings.
Administering Fundraising schemes and campaigns, to include:
- Support the Fundraising Team to deliver regular fundraising campaigns through donation and responding to enquiries.
- Process animal sponsorships (new and renewals), and order and update sponsorship stock and literature.
- Process and dispatch online orders, keeping records of sales and providing reports as required, monitoring stock levels.
- File all paperwork adhering to GDPR guidelines.
Assisting with Fundraising Events, to include:
- Attend internal and external fundraising events and activities as required, assisting with preparations for the events and helping to ensure they run smoothly.
- Assist the Event Lead to prepare literature and other fundraising material/items e.g. collection buckets, name badges, event invitations, posters, sponsorship packs etc.
- Monitor and respond to phone calls and emails from the public in a timely fashion.
- Ensure accurate record keeping.
- Work with the Finance team to produce weekly banking records.

Essential
- Strong verbal and written skills to engage with supporters and internal teams
- Administrative experience in an office environment
Desirable
- Experience of donor care
- Processing financial data and cash handling
- Customer databases, inputting data and generating reports
- Assisting with the organisation of events
- Charity/fundraising experience
- IT skills including Microsoft Office and Canva
