Pearl's Story

Pearl was collected from the Welsh Pony Rescue and Rehoming Charitable Trust in 2019 along with Sian, Chiff Chaff and her mother Queenie. Their owner had sadly died and as a result they had been left in a field unhandled for many years. Understandably, they were all very wary of humans and it took a long time to build their trust. Pearl was under a year old when she arrived, and after having time to mature in our herd with other youngsters, she started a personalised training plan to build her confidence.

After completing her training, she blossomed into a sweet but sassy little mare with heaps of potential. In 2022, HorseWorld started looking for a home for her as a project pony and after a home check she was ready to start her new chapter.

Rehomer, Rachael says: “Pearl was our second pony that we've rehomed from HorseWorld, the first being a cheeky Shetland called Jake. When I saw Pearl looking for a home on the HorseWorld Facebook page, I instantly fell in love with her.

"We went to visit her and knew straight away she was special. She came to us as an unbacked 4 year old and she has taken to ridden life like a duck to water, always so eager to please but not afraid to express her opinion! We're taking it slowly with her but she's proving to be a fantastic Pony Club pony for my daughter taking everything in her stride. We are very excited for her future!”
