A new life begins...
Jubilee’s journey began in 2012 when she was born at HorseWorld to her mum, Bronwyn, who had been rescued after being abandoned. Her mother had been rescued as part of a large group of neglected, pregnant mares; an example of indiscriminate breeding at a UK ‘foal farm’. Named in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, this special foal was one of eight youngsters born that year, each representing a new beginning and a brighter future. Thankfully, Jubilee was born healthy, and her mum made a full recovery as a result of the care and kindness she received here at HorseWorld. From her very first days, Jubilee carried with her not only the hope of her mum’s second chance but also the spirit of resilience.

Joining the sponsorship scheme...
As she grew up in the safety of the HorseWorld herd, she quickly became a much-loved sponsorship pony, capturing the hearts of supporters with her friendly, gentle nature and beautiful looks. She thrived at our sponsorship days, where she adored all the attention and soaked up every pat, stroke and cuddle from her many admirers.

A star with a purpose...
Alongside her role as a sponsorship pony, Jubilee also trained to be part of HorseWorld’s Discovery programme. This alternative learning provision helps young people facing challenges in their lives to build confidence, trust, and self-esteem through working with horses. Jubilee’s calm, patient and dependable nature made her a wonderful partner for the programme, as she gently encouraged participants to find their voice and believe in themselves. Her ability to connect with people left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of working with her, including her future rehomer, Phoebe.

Jubilee's next chapter...
After years of giving so much to others, it was time for Jubilee to enjoy a slower pace of life. She went on temporary loan to Becky, one of our grooms, for some well-earned rest and relaxation. Helping Becky care for Jubilee was Phoebe, a familiar face not just to Jubilee, but to HorseWorld's Discovery programme. Years ago, Phoebe had been a Discovery student herself, struggling with confidence. Jubilee was the horse she bonded with, and today their story has come full-circle with Phoebe giving Jubilee a new home. “Jubilee inspired me to apply to college and follow my dream of working with horses,” said Phoebe. “Now I’m a full-time groom at HorseWorld and I’ve given Jubilee her forever home. She is such a lovely mare and I am so pleased with her." To see both Phoebe and Jubilee thriving together, is the perfect ending to their shared journey. Thanks to your support, stories like theirs are possible.
