Meet Charlie (Shetland)

Charlie is an adorable, 10 year old, miniature Shetland. He was rescued by HorseWorld at the start of 2020 after being contacted by the RSPCA. He had been found at his home with severely overgrown hooves that had not been trimmed for a very long time, and severe laminitis. Thanks to the great work of the team here, Charlie is on the right path to making a full recovery. His hooves have been correctly trimmed and his grazing is being managed carefully to prevent further laminitis.

He is an extremely loveable chap, with an incredibly sweet personality, who wants to be friends with every pony on site! One of his favourite tricks is escaping through the fencing! But he's always more than happy to be caught and returned to where he was supposed to be!

Charlie has recently joined our Discovery programme, which he has so far taken to like a duck to water!
