Meet Zippy

Zippy was rescued in 2024 as a semi-feral pony whose owner was struggling to handle him and was worried for his welfare. Since being at HorseWorld, Zippy has grown in confidence and has come along well with his handling. He is now looking for a home as a project pony to continue his handling with an experienced adult.

Zippy is an 11hh Dartmoor bay pony, born in 2022. He gets on well with other horses and is a playful herd member, though has only lived with geldings. He currently lives out 24/7 and hasn’t needed rugging or hard feed, just hay rations over winter as needed. Zippy is good to be caught and for all basic handling and he enjoys a groom. He is good for the farrier but can be a little nervous of the vet. He can be stabled and with incremental training could potentially be left alone for short periods of time.

An ideal home would offer Zippy a consistent routine that will continue his education, as well as a stable equine friend that he can have fun in the field with. Zippy has a sweet and willing personality and we would love to see him thrive in his own loving forever home.
