Meet Sox

Sox was rescued in April 2013 along with 21 other horses as part of a multi-agency rescue. These horses were found abandoned on a plot of land. She was heavily pregnant, unhandled and needed lots of rest and specialist care due to being incredibly overweight as well as being pregnant. Her body was under so much stress she risked serious injury if she moved too quickly!

Sox gave birth to her daughter Ruby a month after her arrival, who lives at HorseWorld with her still today. Sox is now part of our Discovery team helping vulnerable young people through equine-assisted learning. She has a very sweet personality and particularly loves a pamper session!
