Meet Megan

Megan came to HorseWorld in 2024 from The Donkey Sanctuary after experiencing a very stressful situation. She had spent 16 years of her life living beside her mother, who had to be suddenly put to sleep, and the stress caused her to become dangerously overweight. Thanks to the care of our amazing team and the support of our friendly donkeys on site, Megan gradually recovered and has fitted beautifully into the herd. She is the biggest donkey in the herd with the biggest heart. Megan loves a good scratch behind the ears and plenty of attention. She also works on our Discovery team, helping vulnerable children and young people heal from trauma through her calm and gentle presence.
