Meet Blossom

Blossom is a 10 year old, 12hh, piebald cob mare, looking for a home as a field companion. Blossom arrived at HorseWorld in 2022 emaciated, dehydrated, and with a foal at foot. We suspect she was used as a broodmare for many years prior to her rescue. Blossom has done well with rehabilitation and is now ready to find a new loving loan home.

Blossom is a sweet mare and enjoys a groom - she is generally good to do. However, she is mareish and can be trickier to handle when in season. For this reason, Blossom is looking for a home with a confident adult handler. She is a good doer, currently living out on poor grazing supplemented with hay in the winter months. She would benefit from some restricted grazing in the summer time to help with her weight management. Blossom is active in the field and generally gets on with other horses, though she can be dominant and settles better with mares. She gets attached to other horses, particularly when in season, so is looking for a home where she will have consistent equine companionship and will not be left alone.

Blossom can be stabled for short periods of times, but is much happier living out so is looking for a home where she will spend the majority of the time living in the field. She can go for in hand walks for exercise and enrichment. She is forward going and good to lead, as long as she is in equine company.

We would love to find Blossom a suitable, calm home - she can be a very sweet loving mare and deserves to find a home to love her.
