Meet April

April arrived at HorseWorld in 2007 as a foal at foot to her mother Saffy. Their owner was desperate for help after a sudden change in circumstances left her unable to care for the both of them. Poor Saffy had already been rescued from the meat trade, then passed through various different homes, before being taken in by her owner. Luckily for Saffy and April we were able to help. April has been out on a few loan homes over the years and even enjoyed a short career as a riding school pony before retiring back to us. She also helped out on our Discovery programme for a little while, where her sweet but sassy personality shone through. Because she is prone to sweet itch and weight gain, we feel that the best place for her future is at HorseWorld, where we can carefully manage her condition.
