At HorseWorld, every horse that comes into our care has a home for life. Their welfare is always our top priority, and we are committed to supporting them throughout their journey. When a horse is rehomed through our trusted network of rehomers, it is always on a permanent loan basis. This means the horse can return to us at any time if circumstances change, ensuring their lifelong safety and wellbeing.
We carefully rehabilitate and retrain horses so they can enjoy a second chance at a meaningful life. Once ready, we work hard to match each horse with the right home, creating lasting partnerships between horse and rehomer. To safeguard these placements, our dedicated rehoming team carry out regular welfare visits to make sure both horse and rehomer are happy and thriving.
This tailored rehoming service not only protects the welfare of every horse but also allows us to manage space at our rescue site. By finding loving loan homes, we can continue to rescue more horses in urgent need of help.
Currently, over 190 horses are living in loan homes, mostly across the South West of England, and each home is visited at least once every year by our experienced team.

We had a great year in 2024, rehoming a total of 32 horses with only 9 returning. This is the most we have rehomed since 2017. We recruited a Rehoming Coordinator, Georgia, at the start of 2024 and the combination of having the horses trained and ready for rehoming, along with having a full training and rehoming team, led to a successful year.
Our rehoming team continue to provide ongoing care and support beyond the initial placement. Regular home visits ensure that both horse and rehomer are happy, healthy, and thriving together. We are always on hand to offer advice, guidance, and reassurance whenever it’s needed, because finding a home is only the beginning of their journey.
We love to hear updates on how our rehomed horses and ponies are getting on in their new lives - every photo, message, or story shared fills our whole team with immense pride. Watching them flourish, whether that’s enjoying a quiet life as a companion, learning new skills, or becoming part of a family, is the ultimate reward for all the care and dedication that goes into their rescue and rehabilitation. These updates remind us why we do what we do, and they show the true value of giving every horse and pony the second chance they deserve.
