Rehome Me: Sam

Sam was born at HorseWorld in May 2016; his mother, Astra, was pregnant when she came to HorseWorld in August 2015. Astra was part of a very large rescue involving many family groups of stallions, mares and foals. All of them were very nervous of people and, as some of the older horses were highly reactive, it has taken a long time to work through the group gaining their trust.

As Sam was born here, he has been used to people handling him right from the start. He has been a quick learner and is a very friendly pony. Sam was trained to receive basic handling before being successfully rehomed as a companion pony. Sam spent a couple of years at his loving loan home where he received consistent handling and saw a little bit more of life. Sam has recently returned to HorseWorld and is now looking for a new home.

He is a cheeky chap who can be a little 'over friendly', so is looking for an experienced home where he can continue to be taught to respect people and have boundaries. He is good to be groomed and handled and he is brilliant for the vet and farrier. He gets on well with other horses and can go out with mares and geldings. He can be playful in the herd as he is still young, so we are hoping to a find him a home with horses/ponies of a similar age.
