Rehome Me: Merlin
Merlin came to HorseWorld in 2018 with a miniature Shetland called Star, as their owner was no longer able to look after them. The hope was that Merlin would be suitable for use on our Discovery courses but unfortunately, after veterinary assessment, he was diagnosed with osteochondrosis dissecans (OCD) which is a degenerative joint condition. This means that he will never be able to be used for ridden work and therefore Merlin is now looking for a loving loan home as a non-ridden companion.
Merlin is a lovely boy who needs a confident, quiet handler as he can get a bit anxious in new situations. He is generally easy to do and is happy living out year-round or spending short periods of time in a stable. He can only be turned out with geldings as he is rather too fond of mares. Merlin enjoys being fussed and would love a home where he could get daily one to one attention.
