Local horse charity go viral!

Yawning horse.pngBristol-based horse rescue charity, HorseWorld had a surprise when they woke up on Monday morning. Over the weekend one of the charity's reels on Instagram had gone viral and had been viewed by over 1.5 million people!

The short video showing one of the rescued horses yawning had a comical Opera singer sound effect and the caption “When you realise you’re half way through the week with a bank holiday weekend in sight.”

HorseWorld’s Mollie Winter, who created the reel commented “We were absolutely blown away to see how many people had watched the video. Over 43,000 people have liked it. We've had 419 comments and over 3500 people have saved it!

“Whilst it was intended to simply make people smile, this reel has brought the charity’s work to the attention of a huge number of people. We’ve seen our Instagram followers rise by over 20% as a result; if each one of those becomes a supporter of the charity, just think how much difference that could make to the horses we rescue!

"In the last 10 years, social media has become incredibly important to HorseWorld, not only for fundraising but in raising awareness of our work. As a small charity we rely heavily on word-of-mouth and whilst our local community is incredibly important to us, reaching a world-wide audience like this is absolutely wonderful."
