HorseWorld Hosts The Great Horses for Health Relay

Wellness Walk (19).jpg This weekend, HorseWorld Trust held a fundraising Wellness Walk in aid of The Great Horses For Health UK Relay.

The relay has travelled all throughout Scotland, Ireland and Wales before reaching The South West, and aims to celebrate how equines help improve well-being particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic whilst raising vital funds for seven equine charities who have been financially impacted over the last 12 months.

The Wellness Walk to raise money for Horses4Health.co.uk saw over 100 visitors participate. Event Organiser Claire McCaffery-Clarke said, “It was great to be a part of the Great Horses for Health initiative and highlight the great work all seven charities do to promote equine rescue and welfare. I enjoyed meeting the charity’s supporters afterwards but as we have not had visitors on site for over 18 months, I think the horses and donkeys enjoyed it most!”

The relay will continue southwards raising awareness throughout the South West, ultimately finishing in Cornwall on 2 October.
