HorseWorld charity tack shop re-opens
Animal welfare charity HorseWorld launched its new, relocated tack shop on Saturday. The shop selling both new and used tack, rugs and horse equipment was set up to raise funds for the charity’s rescued animals. Until recently, it was located at HorseWorld’s visitor centre in Whitchurch but has now moved to the neighbouring welfare department, Keynes Farm where the charity’s rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming work takes place.
“We are excited to be re-opening” said Tack Shop Manager, Deb Walsh “Our maintenance team have worked really hard to build the new shop from sheds we’ve moved up from the visitor centre. It’s in a lovely location looking out over the donkey paddock.
“The tack shop is a really important resource for the charity. It raises funds for the horses from items donated. We are really grateful for donations of tack, rugs and horse equipment that we receive. Anything that we cannot use for our rescued horses goes into the tack shop to generate the funds to buy essentials like hay, feed and veterinary supplies. Come along and grab yourself a bargain and help horses in need at the same time.”
HorseWorld recommends all saddles are checked by a qualified saddle fitter and can be returned to the tack shop within two weeks if the fit is not suitable as the welfare of the horse is paramount.
The tack shop is open Thursday's, Friday's and Saturday's 10am till 2pm
