Support us

HorseWorld's vital 365-days-a-year animal welfare work relies on the support we receive from individual volunteers and supporters, businesses and others.

Without this crucial support, our rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming work could not be as successful as it is today.

James's story is just one example of the way your support enables HorseWorld to improve the lives of horses, ponies and donkeys.

James

James was just three days old when he was rescued by HorseWorld. He was abandoned without his mother and left to die on a common in Wales. It was on one of the hottest days of the year and without his mother's milk and protection he would have died within a matter of hours.

Orphaned James was bottle fed by HorseWorld grooms throughout the day and night

The HorseWorld team of dedicated grooms provided James with around-the-clock intensive nursing, getting up every hour of the night to give the poorly foal his bottle. Thanks to the support of people like you, we were able to save James's life. An appeal in the press and media helped us to find him a foster mum and he is now as happy, lively and contented as any other youngster!

James, safe and well with his new mum Cassie

James is safe now, but we still need your help and support.

Buddy (in the video below) came to HorseWorld in appalling condition. He should have weighed betwen 280-300kg yet came in weighing just 108kg. He had to have six blood transfusions and a drip before he could be lifted to his feet and continued to be lifted up every two hours day and night for the first three weeks. Buddy's case is not an isolated one. We are seeing more and more cases like him on a regular basis.
