Be A Groom for a day

Join the Equine Welfare Team at Keynes Farm where the core work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home neglected and mistreated horses and ponies takes place. As a "Groom For A Day", your experience will begin at 8.30am when you will be shown how to mix up feeds for the 100 horses. You will then be taken by the Equine Husbandry Team on their rounds, visiting every horse to ensure that it is fit, healthy and free from injury. If there are rescued horses in the Isolation Unit, you will spend time here, helping to check on their welfare and to make a note of their progress.
The experience also includes:
- Packed Lunch or voucher for a meal at the Stable Door Cafe
- Guest Ticket for the Visitor Centre

Terms & Conditions: Booking is subject to availability and excludes public holidays and weekends. We regret that this experience is only available to 16 years plus but a Caring For A Pony Day is available for younger supporters. Horse Riding is not included as part of the day. You must have a good level of physical fitness to take part
