Remembering Loved Ones, with HorseWorld
Keeping Memories Alive - Making an In Memory donation to HorseWorld is a wonderful way to remember your loved ones, whilst helping to care for horses, ponies and donkeys in need.
With your gift, you can honour the passing of someone special or the loss of a much-loved animal companion by generously giving in their memory. Remembering a loved one in this way can bring great comfort at a time of sadness with the knowledge that your donation will be used to continue to make a difference to unwanted and neglected animals.
There are several ways to make a dedication and it is important to us that you find the right option for you.
Memorial Walk Dedication - HorseWorld’s nature trail follows the boundaries of the Visitor Centre, where rescued horses, ponies and donkeys graze contentedly in their paddocks. A black memorial plaque, measuring 3” x 2”, with a simple engraving of your loved one’s name, will be fixed to the wooden fencing around the walk.
Books of Remembrance - The name of your loved one, together with a ten word dedication of your choice will be inscribed in our Books of Remembrance which are displayed at HorseWorld’s Visitor Centre.
Memorial Fund - A Memorial Fund is individual and named after your loved one. It enables friends, family and colleagues to raise funds to help a charity that was close to their heart. For example, the friends and family of John Andrews might set up and contribute to the John Andrews Memorial Fund.
Your Memorial Fund can be for a member of your family, a friend or a much-loved pet. Our supporters contribute to their Memorial Funds in a variety of different ways, some choosing to make a donation to commemorate a birthday, family celebration or a special anniversary, others have organised cake sales or have taken part in sponsored events. Your Memorial Fund will be a lasting tribute to the life of someone you love, making a difference to the lives of horses and ponies in need.
Please let us know if you would like us to send you announcement cards that you can give to friends and family, so that they can also contribute to your Memorial Fund.
Each Memorial Fund will be acknowledged in HorseWorld’s Annual Review.
