Treacle was rescued from awful neglect in January 2011, she was pregnant at the time and that spring gave birth to a healthy filly called Pudding.
Although Treacle was never particularly frightened of people she wasn’t too fussed about being handled either! But with time she became an easy pony to care for. She is a sturdy little lady and the vet and physio have checked her over so she could be trained as a driving pony if wanted.
Treacle has been on two loan homes but has had to return through no fault of her own. She does have sweet itch and will need restricted grazing (as with most little native types). She is a bit of an independent lady and doesn’t seem too bothered to be left alone for short periods of time so would probably make a good companion to a ridden pony.
