Foxglove was born at HorseWorld to a rescued mare that came in through the RSPCA after she was found with her headcollar imbedded into her nose.
When Foxglove was a youngster she went to a wonderful loan home where she stayed for four years, she then returned to continue her education and hopefully find a new home as a ridden horse.
Although Foxglove proved to be a willing litlle mare and progressed well with her ridden work recurrent lameness in her right fore forced an early retirement.
We are now looking for a companion home where she can receive the love and attention she deserves. She is good to catch, handle, groom etc and is good with the farrier. She does sometimes get anxious coming into the stable but this may improve in a routine.
She is a good doer so can live out year round without hard feed but also needs resticting during times of grass growth. She does have manageable sweet itch which is very easy to treat. She gets on well with mares and geldings and would be a fantastic companion to another retired horse or pony as she does get a bit anxious when her friends are taken away.
