PED is a veterinary bioscience company, founded to provide practical applications of scientific research for improvement of animal welfare.
The Company was founded in 2004, following success in developing a neuroendocrine theory of aging for horses and associated model of disease onset. Now a limited company with equity investment, PED provides the first pre-emptive diagnostics for Cushingoid horses and is developing nutraceutical and pharmaceutical treatment options. Our researchers believe that this work will also be of great benefit to veterinary professionals in treating laminitis cases.
