Ophelia was rescued in March 2011 with a group of other mares – she was in a sorry state being very underweight and needing urgent care as she also had diarrhoea. With just the correct care and diet she made a quick recovery and developed into a normal lively thoroughbred.
Ophelia has been through a training programme and introduced to a rider but found this stressful and showed some potentially dangerous behaviour. She is a sweet natured and friendly horse but can find it stressful when her equine friends leave the field.
Due to her unpredictable behaviour she will stay at HorseWorld where she can live as natural a life as possible.
