Kelly has been on loan to a member of the Welfare team for five and a half years but has sadly had to be returned through no fault of her own. She is a lovely girl with a sweet nature, easy to catch and handle, and loves attention. Kelly is fantastic to ride being forward going but safe and sensible, she is interested in her surroundings when hacking out and is as bombproof in traffic as a horse can be. She is used to trains, lorries, tractors etc., and will go under and over motorway and railway bridges without hesitation. She is also quite well schooled and works nicely, being responsive to the aids. When hacked alone or with a quiet companion she is as steady as you ask her to be and never breaks into trot or canter unless asked. However Kelly does need an experienced rider, someone who can easily ride without stirrups as they have a balanced seat, ignore the odd spook and give her confidence when she needs it.

In 2005 Kelly was diagnosed with spavins, this was diagnosed and treated early so hasn't caused too many problems. Because of this she can no longer be jumped and needs regular work, a minimum of four times per week of hacking and the occasional schooling session. She also has COPD so needs to be kept out as much as possible. She could be stabled on dust free bedding and soaked hay for short periods.

Kelly needs to be kept on a small yard or she becomes stressed and difficult to ride. She cannot be left alone in the field or stable.

With the right person and the right home Kelly is a joy to look after and ride, truly one in a million and she will be sorely missed. Kelly will make a good prelim dressage horse and a super hack and school mistress.

Kelly has a weight limit of 12 stone.
