Barclays Bank Mucks in for HorseWorld

HorseWorld was delighted when nearly 20 Barclays Bank volunteers arrived at its Equine Welfare Department in Whitchurch to help muck out and then paint some very dirty stables.

HorseWorld has more than 150 horses on site at any one time, and rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes over 100 new horses and ponies each year, so our stables get a lot of use. Our biggest barn is used to quarantine animals when they first arrive, and it needed a really good clean and paint.

Barclays Bank kindly volunteered to help HorseWorld when they heard how much work needed doing.

Zena Pollard, Personal Account Manager at Barclays, said: "it was a wonderful opportunity for us to get together, Barclays continues to enjoy working in the local community and we are always looking for volunteering opportunities that make a difference."

If you and your colleagues would like to take part in a team building day with a difference, please contact Jess Winchester on 01275 893033.
